Michael Nader dies: ‘Dynasty’ and ‘All My Children’ actor, was 76

Michael Nader passed away on Monday at his home in Northern California from an incurable form of cancer. He was an actor whose slender good features, leading-man intensity, and throaty vocal delivery got him cast on Dynasty and All My Children as romantic interests for two of the era’s best-known vixens. He was 76.

Jodi Lister, his wife, revealed his departure in a statement that began, “With a heavy heart, I’m conveying the news of the passing of my husband, Michael. With the numerous dogs we fostered and adopted, we shared 18 beautiful years together. Recently, during an Emma Samms virtual event to support Long-Covid research, Michael was overjoyed to reunite with his Dynasty cast friends. He was a stunning and fascinating man with a wide range of abilities. He will always be missed by me.

Additionally, from 1991 until 2001, Nader played the on-again, off-again romantic interest of Susan Lucci’s character Erica Kane in the ABC daytime drama “All My Children” as Dimitri Marick. In 2013, he reprised his function.

In a virtual event hosted by Emma Samms to support Long-Covid research, Lister claimed her husband had been “so thrilled to reconnect with his friends from the Dynasty cast.”

He was a “beautiful and fascinating man with many talents and skills,” she concluded the eulogy, adding, “I will miss him forever.”

The Flash, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Beach Blanket Bingo, The Great Escape II: The Untold Story, and Lucky Chances are just a few of Nader’s acting credits.

The nephew of Hollywood actor George Nader, Nader was born in St. Louis but raised in California. He began his career in show business as one of the wave-riding boys in American International’s series of beach movies from the 1960s, including Beach Party, Bikini Beach, Pyjama Party, Beach Blanket Bingo, and How to Stuff a Wild Bikini. At the same time, he appeared frequently in Sally Field’s beach-themed Gidget television series.
